I have no comments on the actual thread but: 

When I was a kid my dad took away my Pokemon* cards and put set them on fire... 

Thinking of it, I am still slightly annoyed by that, in a why the hell did he do that way. 

* Spell check wants to fix Pokemon into bespoken...

Uhm, sorry for confusing you, maybe I chose the wrong word? (I'm not a native speaker.) I often click on user names because I like to know who's behind it and I also check out the journal layout while I'm at it for the simple fact that I'm fascinated by them. This is why I "accidentally" found you. I just clicked and had a look at your pretty layout and then I spotted the entry about the spell checker and I had to laugh. :D

Yes, F!S is probably the place where I found you. I mean, aside from snape_potter it's the only community I know of on DW that is quite active.

(Ah, I see. :D Maybe we can confuse each other then? ^^)

It was also the only community I was a member of (up until a couple of minutes ago when I added a couple), and it is also the only community I am an active posters.

I've been planning on getting more active on DW, since LJ isn't the same any more and, sadly, traffic still hasn't arrived on IJ. But DW, as it seems, needs more action, too. I presume fandom now is scattered everywhere, mostly on tumblr. But I don't like it that you can't communicate on tumblr like you can here or on other journaling sites.

Same here, but most of my communities are over on LJ and I haven't found any communities here that are as active (or cross post), so I am stuck with twin accounts on LJ/DW, where I do fandom things on LJ and Journal writing (I do cross post though), and F!S on DW...

I have a Tumblr. I use it, but only for the pretty pictures and so on. I don't exactly know how one can have an conversation on Tumblr...

I agree. Even though everyone is complaining about LJ, it's still the place to be with most of the traffic.

However, LJ's best days lie in the past. Nowadays, most of the communities and journals are abandoned, dead or deleted. :( It's sad. And, as you say, tumblr is great for pics and other fandom material, but you really can't interact with people and that's what I miss most. I hope DW will become more like LJ used to be.

I have twin accounts on LJ and IJ. And I have a tumblr, too, to keep track with fandom over there, collect pretty pics and funny stuff and the like.

Hopefully DW will get bigger (and more like LJ was before) when people realize how non working tumblr. is for fandom discussion...

DW stuff seems to be a lot more decent than the one at LJ. People just have to let go of there LJ's and emigrate over here. Surely, it can't be that difficult.

Yeah, the only problem is that there is so much less on here than over at LJ... Yeah, it isn't that difficult, DW is basically LJ before LJ started sucking, so why not move?

Lol I just noticed I made a typo in my last comment. I meant "DW staff" not "stuff" lo. I hope you got it right.

The only thing that we can do is to be active around here, bringing a little traffic to DW.
A lot of people over at LJ aren't happy with the new changes and developments, it's only a matter of time until everyone has find himself/ herself a new home. I mean, I've never seen LJ this "deserted" before. When I was most active from 2006 till 2008/2009 LJ boomed. I almost couldn't keep up with all the entries on my f-list. It's no comparison at all to the state it's now in.

Okay, I'm enjoying our little conversation here, do you mind if I friend you? My f-list is still lacking a lot of activity. You could change that fact. :D
